U11 Taaleem Indoor Football Tournament
The U11 Football team travelled to Uptown School on June 16th to compete in their first ever indoor football tournament. Having not played for a few months the players were rather nervous, but after a few minutes on the pitch the nerves were soon forgotten about.
The team was made up of Jack, Lauren, Max, Matthew, Spenser, Matthew, Oliver and Luke. They played exceptionally well and won every single game. As well as winning medals and a shield, Luke won an award for top goal scorer and Lauren was voted player of the tournament. Congratulations to everyone and thank you to the parents who came to support us.

FOOTBALL
DBS U13 Football boys were narrowly beaten by Dubai College 1 - 0 in the Dubai Schools Cup. Having dominated the match from start to finish the boys were disappointed to not convert any of their chances, however the boys can be proud of such an a mature performance. Unlucky but well done!
The U15s are through to the semi final of the plate competition and are currently awaiting the winners of JESS Ranches and Wellington to see if they can make it through to the final.
The Senior Football team finished the tightly contested league mid table, only 4 points off third place. Unfortunately two schools were unable to play us meaning the results couldn’t count towards the final standings.
The boys also pitted their wits against local school Al Mohed in the U18 Dubai Schools League, a new initiative set up to allow schools of mixed diversity to compete, winning 4-1 with goals from Austin Old, Lewis Windle helping to overcome the hardworking side.
More success for the Primary Football Teams....
The U11 Boys and U11 Girls team travelled to Abu Dhabi to compete in the annual Taaleem Football competition. This was the very first outing for the girls team and they did a fabulous job of winning the U11 Girls tournament. The boys team had been playing well all season but had never played against any of the Taaleem schools in the league so did not know what to expect. However, they managed to beat off all the other teams and they won the U11 Boys Tournament. A great success for both teams, well done to everyone who was involved!
